Delirium
Delirium - a storm & a dream
Delirium is a mad laughter
tearing through with no remorse
It is the same
As a vicious storm
Across the sky untamed
Uncontrollable
Many may look up
Then look away
Silent, but seeming to say
Go Away
Yet
Curiosity and fear bring them near
As they walk down the sidewalk
As they look out their windows
As though the delirium in the sky
Was a private play from the Gods
Coming together
Not Mother Nature
Falling apart
Crying like a bitter old woman
The delirium is battering
A lightly vicious beat
At first sounding like applause
Then quickly becoming something very different
If they were to touch you at all you'd fall
The rain drops were pure acid
Wanting to disintegrate anything and everything
Except for the old Tree of Life
Whose leaves sometimes reach out on branches
Too long for humans to climb
When the tree shivered beneath the storm
Delirium was so touched
That a strange reverberation
Echoed and Echoed
Ending the storm
As people looked up with wide eyes and shocked pout
Delirium blushed with embarrassment
A rainbow soon to fade out
Into a perfect blue sky with no clouds at all
It really was a lovely day
The air carrying an aroma
So sweet and clean
Delirium left a vibrant hollow
This was forgotten
As all of the people went about their business
Forgetting what they had seen
As though it was merely a dream
nda not an act in the theater of mother nature ...
